Hockney Retrospective at the Met

January 25, 2018

David Hockney was born with synaethsia, which means he sees sounds as colors. Does that have something to do with the bright palettes of his art? Could be. There's exactly one month left to catch the David Hockney retrospective at the Met, and it's not to be missed. Hockney (who, in his 80's, is still painting today!) is a prolific pop artist perhaps best known for his portraits of the familiar - his friends, family, and LA backyards. This extraordinary exhibit is at the Met through February 25th.
