In The Neighborhood: Gustavo Dudamel

April 25, 2018

That wild mess of curls tossing about on stage in a tuxedo is Gustavo Dudamel, the celebrity conductor of the LA Phil who is bringing his musicians out for a quick New York tour this week. Performances are on April 27th and 29th at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center and feature Beethoven’s Ode To Joy, as well as music by early 20th century New York composer Edgard Varèse, and Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. It’s the kind of classical music that lives in the back of your mind even if you’re not an aficionado, and if you are, these are some of the greatest hits. Catch some culture and then join us up top for our new spring menu.
