Local Happenings | Broadway 2-for-1 Week

January 10, 2018

You can tell a lot about a person from her stance on visits to the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and Starbucks. It has to do with that unwritten Locals v. Tourists rule in New York. You're one, or you're the other. There is an exception to the rule, a New York staple enjoyed by all: theater is for everybody. Whether on Broadway or off-off-off-off in a parking lot on the Lower East Side, any given evening offers the option to sit in an audience and watch characters stumble through life. They sing, they dance, we laugh, we cry, maybe we even leave wondering how on Earth this show got made. We never leave without something to say about it.

It's Broadway Week which means 2-for-1 tickets for tons of shows between January 16-February 4.  The lineup includes classics like Phantom of the Opera and Lion King, and newer hits like Latin History for Morons and the Tony-winning The Play That Goes Wrong. PLUS! Bernadette Peters will be joining Hello, Dolly! on January 20. Grab tickets here and be sure to come around the corner for a debrief and nightcap after the show!
