In The Neighborhood: The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

November 21, 2018

Before sitting down to gobble on turkey and settling in to watch a football game or two, many Americans turn to watch the beloved NYC tradition of the spectacular that is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The annual event, known for its giant balloons, floats, marching bands and performances, starts at 77th Street and Central Park West and heads down to 34th Street to Macy's Herald Square. While it's undoubtedly fun (and much warmer) to watch the parade in your PJ's, there's nothing like watching the procession in person. If you're still in the city and want a front row view, head over to the parade route early as the 92nd annual parade kicks off at 9am.
