Valentine's Day at The Skylark

February 12, 2019

Observed annually on February 14th, Valentine's Day is a day devoted to celebrating all things love. While many view this Hallmark holiday as an excuse to gift beautiful bouquets, boxes of chocolates and other thoughtful trinkets, no one really knows how and why the tradition came to be.

To keep it short and sweet—The legend is that Saint Valentine, a priest who served during the third century in Rome, performed secret marriages for young lovers in secret after it was outlawed by Emperor Claudius II. Another tale suggests that Valentine, once imprisoned, sent the first "valentine" to a young girl who visited him during his confinement prior to his death, signing a letter with now well-known phrase, "From your Valentine." While there are many iterations of this story, they all come to the same conclusion: love always prevails.

This year, switch up your plans and enjoy an unforgettable Valentine's Day experience at The Skylark. Whether for dinner or simply a nightcap, join us thirty floors up as we celebrate the day of love with spectacular views and an evening full of romantic vibes. Plus, we'll be serving our "Love Birds" passion fruit couple's cocktail, as well as our Linzer Hearts as a sweet treat for all of our guests.

Can't make it for V-Day? Join us throughout the month of love to treat someone special to a date night for the books.
